Dive Description

In Saint John area, Sha'ab Mahrus is situated between Habili Gaafar and Habili Ali, and it is a madeporic spur coming to the surface. Usually, dive starts from the southern side. Sea-floor can reach 300 metres depth. Normally it is a dive on strong from the zodiac (drift dive) and it will be done following this from the zodiac (drift dive) and letting corals on left side till the end of the reef's turn. It is possible to distinguish large gorgonians, soft corals and black corals, and meet large size pelagic fish such as hammerhead sharks and longimanus.
